Why don't Europeans like Turkish people?

From what I hear and read, most Europeans who visit Turkey have a very positive impression of Turks, since they are so friendly and hospitable, but most of the Turkish immigrants living in Europe are not at all like the Turks living in Turkey. read more

Most of the disdain towards Turkish people is due to historical relations with the West and other Middle Eastern countries. The Europeans don't like Turks because Ottoman Empire was a huge challenger to all Western Empires for many centuries. Similarly, Persians and Turks have had major conflicts throughout history which survived to this day. read more
