I know that the term Scurvy is usually referred to Pirates in cartoons but Scurvy is an ailment caused by not enough Vitamin C. But carnivorous animals in the wild do not eat fruits but meat. Pirates back than used to also eat meat by sprinkling spices on them so they could taste better when they rot. read more
Raw contains the highest amounts of vitamin C. Vitamin C loss accelerates depending on how long you cook the meat, i.e., lightly frying liver retains the most as opposed to deep frying, the high heat of which destroys much of the Vitamin C. Sorry I don't have more of an answer. read more
