Why don't McDonalds employees get tips?

Most fast food chains in this country have an employee policy not to accept tips; The employee is not classified as a tipped employee. They receive standard wages. its in place for a reason. suppose the dude gives you a dollar for tip. meal comes out to 5 bucks. you put 5 in the till and pocket the other dollar. for one, it looks like youre stealing. secondly, im pretty sure your employers have to write down any tips you make for tax purposes and places like mcdonalds dont want to deal with it because its not normal. read more
