Yes, as noted elsewhere peacocks can fly, however with their long and heavy tail, and somwhat large body, they certainly prefer to just walk arround. However, to get them from becomming pray while they sleep, peacocks will fly up to a safe spot. Usually a roof or a branch in the tree. I have seen them in tree branches up to 20 meters. read more
