Lions and Tigers don’t really taste very good and won’t give much eatable meat for its size. Plus, they are endangered, so even finding one is difficult. Hence, Lions and Tigers are , whenever they are consumed, eaten mostly for their purported medical benefits (although there are exactly none). read more

‘Indigenous people’ include a huge variety of different cultures. Some do, and some don’t. Most cultures don’t routinely consume these animals because A) carnivores don’t taste as good, and B) the animals - especially elephants - are very dangerous to hunt. read more

This is a BIG one, because some people would definitely farm elephants for their tusks (and meat would just be a bonus) if it were not illegal. Unfortunately, this law may result in the extinction of wild elephants due to poaching. read more
