Why don't the police use bloodhounds any more?

We do use them for those specific purposes, it’s just that many police departments that have canines use German Shepherds instead. The reason is, in most cases German Shepherds do more things than Bloodhounds. They don’t track or trail better, but they are better at handler protection and other patrol functions. read more
