Windsurfing is being competed at the London 2012 Olympic Games, however as things currently stand this will be the last time as it is being replaced by Kiteboarding at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. It seems to be a case of Kiteboarding rising in popularity to the point where it is ready to be an Olympic Sport, and there isn't room on the programme for both events. read more

Windsurfing in the Olympics: Who Is Representing Team GB At Rio 2016 & Who to Watch Out For In May 2012, the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) voted to remove windsurfing from Olympic sailing from 2016 and replace it with kitesurfing. read more
