Why is anti-Judaism called anti-semitism?

Anti-Judaism and antisemitism are not the same thing. Anti-Judaism, which has existed in some form since at least the development of Christianity, is disagreement with/opposition to Jewish beliefs. While it may often be unwelcome, it is not harmful in and of itself. Antisemitism, on the other hand, refers specifically to anti-Jewish racism. read more
