Why is bootcamp not considered hazing?

It might be hazing.. but hazing is actually unlawful mostly.. and at least military boot-camps are run by the military so its not illegal. I have read that military boot-camps are designed to break down someones will so they obey orders while simultaneously and strengthen their bodies to make good soldiers. read more

Well, following the Order again, “hazing need not involve physical contact between military members; it can be verbal or psychological in nature.” What this means is that hazing is not just assaulting the new guy, it is also terrorizing him by ANY other means. read more
