It had to be family wishes. Any military, killed on active duty, is entitled to be buried there. Up until a few years ago, ANY veteran who died, even if they never served in combat, could be buried there. Space constraints changed that. read more

Kyle was killed in a shooting outside a gun range about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth on February 2, 2013.
