Of course, both countries have a genuine emotional investment in the island because they identify the Cypriots living there as no less Greek/Turkish than others who happen to live abroad. One should not underestimate or discredit the genuine interest of both Greece and Turkey to protect their people. As for the UK, their role is nonexistent anymore. read more
