From Kinh ethnicity, we have múa bát dật, múa bài bông, etc. From other ethnicities, we also have various kinds of dance. Even in the midst of Vietnam war, dance is still performed. I cannot explain more clearly because I am not knowledgeable in dancing, but it does not seem like dancing is slighted in Vietnamese culture. read more
Imo what needs to be clarified here is the definition of "Vietnamese culture", the where, when at what. As a Vietnamese, I see people dance a lot in festival in many places of my country. Nowadays, those lines have been blurred, just make do with what you can. That's why there are lines such as “để dành tiền cưới vợ” (saving up to marry a wife) everywhere in vietnamese culture. read more
