Why is Daredevil called Daredevil?

I remember near the end of season 2 and in the newspaper at the end of season 1 Daredevil was officially termed “Daredevil” (although this was after people physically saw him, jumping and running around). Since he puts himself through danger for others, he’s called a daredevil - a straightforward extension of “The Devil”. read more
