Why is it called Xbox 360?

My recollection was that the PS2 was out already. We couldn't just call it Xbox 2, it had to be something that implied it surpassed ps2. Also Xbox 360 was being positioned as more than a game device. It was a living room appliance. I think 360 implied a broad circle of functionality. read more
