It isn't impossible for gay couples to adopt children with the exception of a few states. In fact I know several gay couples who have adopted children in different states. The states that do ban it do so on faulty information totally ignoring that the vast majority of peer reviewed studies show no difference between children that were raised by heterosexual parents and those raised by gay/lesbian parents. read more
