As a treat every now and then Kool-Aid is not bad. The reason it can be bad for children (or anyone) is that it’s mainly sugar! So obviously letting your kids drink it by the gallon wouldn’t be the best idea. read more

A lot of people won't give their kids soda, but have no qualms about giving their kids koolaid, sunny d, Tampico, etc. That stuff is at least as bad for them as soda because in addition to having pretty much the same sugar content, it has enough artificial dyes in it to semi permanently dye hair!
