thank you. i understand limestone is a rock because and CaCO3 is the mineral because minerals have a definite composition and rocks(like limestone) do not. due to the above two reasons that you stated and I elucidated. but the government school textbooks here say that limestone is a non-metallic mineral, so in the exam i have to write - limestone is a mineral, even if i know that its not. read more
