MAC is not “considered better” than other brands. In almost every category, there’s always at least one brand better than MAC. Becca makes better highlighters, Make Up For Ever makes better foundations, NARS makes better blushes, and so on. read more
Myself being a MAC fanatic with a collection running into the thousands of dollars, I would venture the reason it is so popular being the fact that you not only are getting professional quality products in term of the pigmentation and wearability, but the range is a lot bigger than that of some other brands AND it's priced lower than almost any other prestige makeup brand. read more
MAC is pretty cheap compared to the other brands like Bobbi Brown, Shu Uemura, Lancome, and the brands at Sephora. $14 for lipglosses and shadows really isn't that bad. * Bac2Mac is a good program. I know people would rather have GWP, but for me, I'd prefer to get a full sized product of something I can choose. read more
