My advice is to weigh him, and keep a very close eye on him over the next few days - watch him for changes in behavior, appetite, etc - if any of that is reduced, take him to a vet. (The earlier you can catch a problem, the less expensive it is to fix, and the better the prognosis). read more
A beard turning black can be a sign of disease, illness or stress, especially if other parts of the body turn black, too. If this happens, the beardie needs to see a veterinarian that deals with reptiles. read more
