Why is 'myself [name]' grammatically incorrect?

I hate hearing this phrase, it just sounds so wrong. Myself is a pronoun. So 'Myself Stephanie.' is equivalent to 'Me Stephanie.' or 'I Stephanie.', both of which sound just as ridiculous. read more
