Not “all” songs are about those topics, but the majority of them are. Songs are usually written about something the lyricist knows, experienced or has an interest in but usually the latter. If that's all the lyricist has an interest in you need to find better and more thought provoking music. read more

I find the topic of most songs (like pop, rock, or even country) revolves around love, sex, or something along those lines. I seems like 90% or even more of new songs you hear is about same subject, possibly rehashed a bit. read more

People make songs about what is on their mind, or whatever they are passionate about. People these days just lack imagination and can't think of any strong feelings except love/sex. That being said, pop music is the worst. read more
