Why is nuclear power better than solar power?

The Westinghouse AP 1000 units under construction for the last 7-10+ years produce about 1,100 MW. So, in one year, solar additions were equal to what takes more than 7 years to build. Nuclear power is much better for propelling submarines and aircraft carriers. Nuclear power teaches nuclear engineering allowing the production of nuclear weapons. Solar does not do that. Nuclear power is better for rendering large areas of the planet uninhabitable. read more

Germany’s solar panels are far and away more expensive per unit of electricity produced than any fleet of nuclear plants (unmentioned is the fact that Germany’s shift over to solar has also included a significant shift over to exceptionally dirty coal). read more

In 2016 Solar power is way better in the long time. Just invest the money in improving the efficiency of solar rather than building stupid nuclear power plans which will be fully radiative after about 25 years and will become useless and effect humanity. read more
