Your anecdotal evidence does not align with the general data. I would say that either you are just more sensitive to those examples where you see parents being less involved or you did not really have much of an awareness of parenting practices in the 1990s. read more
I was a parent in 1990 and I'm not impressed with today's parents at all. They allow the children to decide what will be done, they have not taught them how to behave in public, everyone has to put up with their bad tempers and worse behavior. read more
