Evangelism was calvinist until the 60s, and is somewhat swinging back by virtue of the fact they never really dropped language that is inherently Calvinist. This comeback is 20 to 30 years in the making. I became Reformed in 2002, and the movement was growing then. It is very widespread now. In short, it appeals to those who: Do believe the Bible is the word of God; Are highly rational and logical. It is a very logical and internally consistent system of beliefs. read more
