The reason Swansea are in the English League along with Cardiff, Wrexham, Colwyn Bay, Merthyr Town and Newport is because, when these clubs were formed, there was no Welsh League, so there only option was to Join the English League. read more
Though joining the League of Wales is a realistic prospect for financially challenged clubs like Newport, Colwyn Bay, Merthyr and Wrexham, it's not for Cardiff or Swansea. Both are finding great success in the English leagues and contributing a lot to the English leagues. read more
