The Paparazzi are protected under the Constitution of the United States the same way everyone else in the U.S. is protected. As long as you are on public property then you are free to take as many pictures as you want in any direction at any time. read more

The Paparazzi Harassment Deterrent Bill makes it a misdemeanor to try to photograph or video a child in a harassing way, if the image is being taken because the parent of the child is a celebrity or a public official. read more
It is legal to take pictures most places in public. This doesn't mean that all manner of stalking is legal (it's threatening/harassing). It certainly does not mean that common paparazzi tactics involving verbal and physical (not usually any touching) assault are allowed. read more
