The 747-8 orders are to some part passenger aircraft (many of the operators also with older versions of the 747, i.e. fleet commonality) but many are also freighter versions where there is nothing in that size category. Even so, the 747-8 is definitely not selling like butter, and they too have cut back production rates numerous times. read more
