Why is the executive branch the most powerful branch?

For example in the case of the US Constitution where most powers are vested in the Presidency although there are provisions that indicate checks and balances the president still possess over empowerment compared to other branches. read more

The most important reason why the executive branch is strong is because the president is the most visible leader for the nation. Only the president is voted for by people from every state. Most people know who the president is, but only relatively few people can name many members of Congress. read more
