Rugby Union is more interesting simply because it has many more options. it has line-outs, meaningful scrums, mauls and tactical kicking. This makes Union more interesting than League but not necessarily better than league. read more

Rugby League is faster and generally, the ball is in play for much longer, the play the ball was introduced many years ago to speed up the game, which had evolved from Rugby Union and is the modern rugby game. read more

In my opinion Union is a better game than League because of the constant competition for the ball, because the restarts (line out, scrum etc) have infinite variety and possession is contested, because the scoring systems adds to the strategic management of a match, because possession is key but defence wins matches. read more
