Why is the slope of [math]y[/math]-axis infinity?

Infinity technically isn't a number, so the slope can't really equal infinity. As a line approaches vertical, its slope approaches plus or minus infinity. Since the test specifically says positive infinity, I have to conclude that it was written by someone who is illiterate in math. read more
