Why is The Walking Dead's picture so grainy even in 1080p?

So, even if the Walking Dead were filmed in 4K (about four times larger than 1080p), if a high ISO was used in filming, noise would be present. However I must agree with Landon Repp's conclusion that it might be treated with a filter to give it an aesthetic of grainy film. read more

Ive noticed on The Walking Dead Most notably Episode 2 which aired on the 13th November has a poor picture, the only way i can describe it is it looks like static all over the picture, has anyone who has watched it on FXhd had this same problem or know of any reason why this happened. read more
