Why is the water at Iguazu Falls a brown colour?

Hmm. I've been to Iguazu Falls, twice. Once in 1998 and again in 1999. I don't recall either time I was there the water being especially brown. However, a quick look at Google Images shows some shots where the falls do indeed have a marked brown color. There are plenty of others where it is not. read more
