Why is there so much sexism in Indian mythology?

I really don't think that there is sexism in Indian mythology. You can instead say that the men lot are better represented. But the epics don't ask us to lead lives like the characters of the scriptures did. The scriptures want us to learn the morals, and inculcate them in our lives. read more

In Indian Mythology not only sexism is there but also many other things in abundance, like Philosophy, Moral Values, Social Justice, Law, Politics, Family values etc. We cannot say there is much sexism.
