Wales is not under-represented, when you consider the population of Wales, just over 3million it has 40 mp's, it has its own parliament for day to day running, in fact when you consider the population of Wales and the population of England which is 54million Wales is over-represented as is Scotland and Northern Ireland. read more

Primarily because Wales was conquered by England in the late 13th Century and a concerted effort was made by the English early on to integrate Wales into the Kingdom of England after the conquest. England and Wales today share much closer legal, educational and political ties than Scotland. read more
