Lets just say for a scenario, a person has a computer that meets Windows 8.1 requirements but doesn't have internet, DVD drive or USB ports and only a floppy drive. Is there anyway that person could. read more
Yes, Windows 8.1 will still support floppy disks. Part of the reason Windows has been so successful is because of backwards compatibility with both legacy hardware and software, I don’t see Microsoft removing a flopping disk driver any time soon. read more
Perhaps there's a contract out there that can be interpreted to mean that MS is bound to provide things on floppy disks, but given that a lot of W8 components are too big for one floppy, it would cost a lot to make this happen. In other words, it may be technically required, but no one would ever ask for it. read more
