Why is Wolverine not in the Avengers?

Marvel sold the movie rights to X-Men, Daredevil and Fantastic Four to 20th Century Fox in 1994. Hence, Marvel cannot make movies featuring these characters. Unless Disney (Owner of Marvel) and 20th Century Fox reach an agreement, we will not see X-Men or Fantastic Four in Avengers movies. read more

Putting Wolverine in the current Avengers line-up might not be a good idea since Wolverine would demand a lot of screen time which will take away from Iron Man, the Captain America, Thor and the Hulk, and, thereby, diminishing their future ability to lure crowds into the cinema halls for their respective stand-alone movies. read more
