Why isn't Minecraft on Steam?

Blizzard's games are very popular, they aren't on steam. League of Legends isn't on steam either - and it's the most popular MOBA in the world, and nor, obviously, is minecraft - not every game has to be on steam. read more

Not saying they should put Minecraft on steam, but for previous online games that have merged with steam, like Spiral Knights, they've implemented a"log in with steam" checkbox, meaning if Minecraft did do a steam merge, you would still only need to login once. read more
