Here I am painting on the other side of the Berlin Wall in the 'death strip'. The photo was taken while the Wall was falling down in 1989 and people were hammering through it. Some holes were so big you could pass through. It was great to paint this side after so many years of harassment by the guards. The guards were no longer allowed to shoot people. read more
