November 14, 2013, de, Leave a comment. Ivan the terrible was born in 1530 in Russia. He is known as the Terrible which is a translation from the Russian word ‘grozny’.  It does not have the same implications of evil that the word terrible has in common usage today. read more

Part of the reason why Ivan has “terrible” in his name has to do with the fact of people in other countries that were part of his opposition sharing their views about him. The guy also has other titles called, “Ivan the Great,” in other locations in the world. I think Russia is one of them. read more
