If you mean what brought down the Aztec Empire, such weaknesses included three things: lack of enough technology - horses, gunpowder, iron armors - to repeal the Spanish advance; lack of resistance to smallpox, which decimated the Aztec population and helped Cortes gaining an upper hand against the Aztecs. read more
