Why we celebrate veterans day?

Later that same year, on October 8th, President Dwight D. Eisenhower issued the first "Veterans Day Proclamation" which stated: "In order to insure proper and widespread observance of this anniversary, all veterans, all veterans' organizations, and the entire citizenry will wish to join hands in the common purpose. read more

Veterans Day is celebrated in different countries as well, where they honor soldiers of their respective countries. In Canada, they observe Remembrance Day on November 11 where they honor every veteran who died in the line of duty. read more
