Many Maine towns have names that are originally from towns and cities in other countries, but that were actually named after towns and cities in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut. As standard bearers for the Church, alot of places were named after Saints by the British and The Spanish. In Jamacia the country is divided into Parishes, similar to how other countries are divided into States or Provinces. There are 14 Parishes, and half of them are named after Saints.
