Honestly, I'm not aware of any reason to microwave a butterfly. Indeed, most butterflies are so small that they will be poor susceptors to microwave radiation, and trying to microwave one in an ordinary (12.5 cm) household microwave oven will probably do more damage to the microwave oven than to the butterfly. read more
