J Cole continues to disappoint me on this album. While proving himself to be a skillful rapper on this album and past efforts, J Cole fails to approach the topic of addiction and fame with any sort of nuance. Much of this album comes across as preachy since the lyrics rarely come across from a place of self-reflection. read more
