Technology in Hearts of Iron is not as complex as a Cold War game should be, there is no economy whatsoever (unless you count industry, but even that's not deep enough), and there is no system for the proxy wars the Soviet and the Americans fought (except for basic stuff like lend-lease and volunteers). read more
