Humanity would survive with no long term adverse effects…… essentially unscathed. The effects of nuclear weapons are drastically overstated. The world isn't armed anymore with anything near enough to even cause the fall of a major nation. read more

A nuclear war would be hugely damaging to global civilisation, but would have no chance of wiping out the species. Even a massive nuclear exchange would probably leave whole countries undamaged and with intact infrastructure. read more
