A lot of the recent 4X space games have left me flat. Endless Space seems cool, but too many things that look like choices really just aren't once you realize how the game works. Lords of the Black Sun has, to me, a very annoying interface. Star Drive 2 is 80% MoO2, but with a wonky ground tactical layer. Horizon is, well, meh.
