Original review: April 28, 2017. Haier DE45EM-L - Would not recommend purchasing a Haier dehumidifier. Purchased from Home Depot and it lasted 2 years then quit drawing water - only the fan ran. Haier says it has one year warranty. Repair place is too expensive - they recommended purchasing a new one. Compressor failing.
After my 3 children and I sopped up all of the standing water we took our brand new Kenmore KM70 70 pint dehumidifier out of the box and hauled it downstairs to set it up and start the drying out process before mold started to set in. Plugged it in and set the controls to continuous, ran the unit for 2 days and the humidity continued to rise and a terrible musty smell started to build.
