Nursing education at Karolinska Institutet strives to integrate classroom teaching, research and clinical practice. The overall goal of the Division of Nursing is to constitute an academic arena that takes part in the international development of nursing research and in the nursing profession.
The nursing shortage in Michigan is on top of the states worries. In an effort to alleviate the nursing shortage, the state recently granted $17 million to schools for accelerated training programs. Nurses in hospitals, community health centers, group practices, long term care facilities, and elsewhere in the health care community, are being called upon to lead and manage departments within their organizations.
