SweeTarts SweeTarts (/ ˈ s w iː t. t ɑːr t s /; officially stylized as SweeTARTS) are sweet and sour candies invented by Jeff Sousa in 1962. The candy was created using the same basic recipe as the already popular Pixy Stix and Lik-M-Aid products, in response to parents' requests for a less-messy candy.
While individually, Nerds aren’t that sour, if you get a big mouthful of these little devils you’ll still go to go into sour overdrive. These are worse, in our opinion, than the sour Gobstoppers, also made by Wonka. At least there's only one big Gobstopper, and if it's too much you can spit it out. Nerds are a lot harder to get rid of -- and we've tried.
